Raceway Mounted Signs

Raceway Mounted Signage Manufacturing Edmonton Alberta Western Canada
Raceway mounting means channel letters are mounted to an aluminum channel box known as a raceway, rather than flush to the building exterior. Raceway mounted channel lettering are easily visible from a distance and the letters are pre-mounted onto the raceway during production, making the sign simple to install.
Channel letters are made of plastic and metal. They are more commonly lit internally though not always. A channel letter is any number, letter or character constructed with a face, return and backer. These are the components used to create a ‘channel letter’. The returns, or letter sides, are made of thin aluminum sheeting that are black, white, or custom painted. The letter faces start o white and colored or printed vinyl can be applied.

Face Lit Channel Letter Signs are the standard illumination for Channel Letter Signs. They are illuminated internally with LED lights, lighting the “face” of each letter. These letters are hollow with the lights oriented to shine out the front of the letter.

Halo Lit Channel Letter Signs are a variation of channel or 3D letters that are made of plastic and metal. They are always lit because the ‘Halo’ describes the lighting style. Typically the face does not glow and only the back of the letter emits light creating the halo glow effect. These letters are hollow with the lights oriented to shine out the back of the letter.
