Does coating dry?
Absolutely! Coatings dry almost instantly so there is no added time to the production process.
Why would I add coating to a project?
Coating can change the texture, feel and look of paper. This can be useful in direct marketing by adding a unique appeal to a marketing piece. It can also create an instant sense of luxury for premium brands and products.
What kind of environmental programs does Burke have?
Burke has a number of programs in place to divert recyclable waste from the landfill. We want to treat mama earth like the queen she is! As well, we are a Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified printer (and very proud of it!).
Is your ink/coating recyclable?
Yes it is. We love the environment and want to make sure that our products are as low-impact as possible.
Can coating be two-sided?
If your project requires, we can print on both sides!
Does coating affect the quality of printing or the resolution of the images?
Coating does not affect the quality of the printing at all. Coating actually just the finish of the sheet (so it might feel different but it will always look great!).
Do you provide coating samples?
Yes we do! Since there are so many coating options, sometimes it’s ideal to just feel them yourself! We can provide a selection of samples so that you know exactly what the coating effect will add to your project.
Do you take urgent print coating orders?
Yes we do! As with all of our urgent print orders, we will evaluate the current press schedule and get an urgent coating order in as necessary.
How much extra do you charge for print coatings?
The different coating options range in price. They become more expensive as they add texture and effect to the paper. Your CSR can provide a price option if you are considering adding coating to your project.
What types of inks do you use for coating projects?
We use traditional and UV Cure Inks in all of our printing projects.
